yo u should follow my new AU hinata blog bc it’s p rad..
The boys face perked up, someone had responded to him! That was a start. He listened to the other attentively, listening closely for his name. ”..Hinata?” he repeated. "That’s.. a pretty cool name!" the shorter said, clasping his hands together.
"Your parent’s have a very nice taste in names!"
She… or he said that his name was pretty cool- of course it was only his family name and he didn’t really think of it as anything special but he appreciated the compliment.
"Ah, it’s nothing special- but thanks"
He really didn’t know where this was going but he figured there was no harm in making small talk with the other… right? But what to talk about… he wasn’t really sure. Just deciding to say something rather generic, at least it was something.
"So… is there anything you like to do? Hobbies or something?"
"O-Oh I am sorry, but I don’t think I recognize any of your faces.." the boy said, his voice no more than a hushed tone. "Hello there.. I am Chihiro Fujisaki."
an unknown face… he probably shouldn’t be surprised- but still… it looked like… a girl? Maybe.. either way it didn’t really matter. Though the soft voice, it was a bit hard to understand but he could make out what the other said. “Chihiro…?” He said, almost as if wanting to confirm what he had just heard.
"I’m Hinata Hajime… it’s nice to meet you- I guess"
"Shouldn’t that be obvious, Hinata-kun…?"
Ah, wait. She couldn’t just drop her guard already. She didn’t mind acting more chilly towards certain people, but… this kid had hope in him that she adored.
"… I’m sorry, I’m really sleepy. I guess I’m just… cranky."
He gave a small tilt of his head- he didn’t get why it should have been obvious…? Though, this wasn’t like the Nanami he knew at all, though maybe she was different today…? He wasn’t sure. Though- she said that she was sleepy before he could say anything else.
"Ah… is that so? We’re you up all night?"
He knew it wasn’t uncommon for the SHSL Gamer- or at least that’s what he thought she was, to stay up all night playing a video game… though he couldn’t say that he thought it was really healthy for that to happen either.
No. Definitely not. Go away.
Well Nanami seemed to… have a different aura around her… as she told him to go away.. that didn’t seem like the Nanami he knew at all.
"….May I ask why I should go away?"
Nanami bumped into someone. "Ah." she just let out. "I’m sorry… i’m actually kind of lost… could you please tell me how far is the Shiganshina Station… ? You’d be very helpful… um…" she looked at the unknown person in front of her "… Stranger-dono ?"
Huh, it was Nanami… she looked a bit different though? He wasn’t sure though exactly what…. strange- though it seemed like there was some confusion…? Shiganshina Station…? Where was that? Surly it didn’t exist on the island but… maybe it was a place in a game…? Who knew.
"Stranger…? I can hardly say a stranger.. Though how should I know when we’re on an island?"
Just as was to be expected— Hinata’s mind was completely blank. With an affirmitive nod, Matsuda wasted no time in scribbling down notes on the clipboard in his lap.
”Would you like me to explain?” Crossing one leg over another, he straightened himself up in his seat. After clearing his throat, he made it a point to speak slowly and clearly. “Your name is Hajime Hinata. You’re a student, here, in Hope’s Peak Academy. That’s where we are right now. The reason you’re so unaware of your surroundings is because you’re experiencing memory loss as a side-effect of surgery.”
There was no use in spending time going over things he’d gone over a million times before: he didn’t remember anything, and attempting to drill them into his head would be a waste of time.
. “I’m supposed to be releasing you back to your dorm for the night, you know.” he spoke to Hinata in an uncharacteristically quiet voice, his explanation punctuated with a wistful chuckle. “I don’t think you’re in any condition to go off by yourself, though, so I’ll probably be keeping you here for a bit longer. How do you feel physically? Are you tired? Hungry? How about emotionally?”
He watched the male scribble stuff down on his clipboard- though he really didn’t understand what exactly what he was writing down but with the sudden offer for an explanation- he slowly nodded, still a bit confused about everything.
Though he listened to the male’s quick explanation- absorbing all the information like a sponge. Hajime Hinata… so that was his name. It was a bit scary that his own name didn’t feel familiar- it was like learning someone else’s name, but nevertheless- he didn’t doubt the man either.
He said such under his breath, as if repeating it to improve his memory of his own name. Though he aid that the memory loss was a side effect from surgery…? He wondered why he was getting surgery in the first place… but thinking about it again he also was a bit scared for that answer.
Hearing the man talk about him suppose to be released to his dorm that night… he wasn’t even sure where his dorm was… Of course he really didn’t think he should be walking around aimlessly when he was barely aware of his surroundings- though it seemed that he would be staying around a bit longer so he just mindlessly nodded.
Next were a bunch of questions, mostly how he felt- He didn’t really feel too bad- he was a bit drowsy but nothing he couldn’t handle. “Just a bit drowsy, though I don’t really feel much emotionally…” Huh, still it felt a bit weird- but it wasn’t like he control that.
IM LAUGHING it looks like komaeda is rubbing his face up on matsuda and he’s Very Displeased
its beautiful…. truly a thing to bEhold
