Just as was to be expected— Hinata’s mind was completely blank. With an affirmitive nod, Matsuda wasted no time in scribbling down notes on the clipboard in his lap.
”Would you like me to explain?” Crossing one leg over another, he straightened himself up in his seat. After clearing his throat, he made it a point to speak slowly and clearly. “Your name is Hajime Hinata. You’re a student, here, in Hope’s Peak Academy. That’s where we are right now. The reason you’re so unaware of your surroundings is because you’re experiencing memory loss as a side-effect of surgery.”
There was no use in spending time going over things he’d gone over a million times before: he didn’t remember anything, and attempting to drill them into his head would be a waste of time.
. “I’m supposed to be releasing you back to your dorm for the night, you know.” he spoke to Hinata in an uncharacteristically quiet voice, his explanation punctuated with a wistful chuckle. “I don’t think you’re in any condition to go off by yourself, though, so I’ll probably be keeping you here for a bit longer. How do you feel physically? Are you tired? Hungry? How about emotionally?”
He watched the male scribble stuff down on his clipboard- though he really didn’t understand what exactly what he was writing down but with the sudden offer for an explanation- he slowly nodded, still a bit confused about everything.
Though he listened to the male’s quick explanation- absorbing all the information like a sponge. Hajime Hinata… so that was his name. It was a bit scary that his own name didn’t feel familiar- it was like learning someone else’s name, but nevertheless- he didn’t doubt the man either.
He said such under his breath, as if repeating it to improve his memory of his own name. Though he aid that the memory loss was a side effect from surgery…? He wondered why he was getting surgery in the first place… but thinking about it again he also was a bit scared for that answer.
Hearing the man talk about him suppose to be released to his dorm that night… he wasn’t even sure where his dorm was… Of course he really didn’t think he should be walking around aimlessly when he was barely aware of his surroundings- though it seemed that he would be staying around a bit longer so he just mindlessly nodded.
Next were a bunch of questions, mostly how he felt- He didn’t really feel too bad- he was a bit drowsy but nothing he couldn’t handle. “Just a bit drowsy, though I don’t really feel much emotionally…” Huh, still it felt a bit weird- but it wasn’t like he control that.
IM LAUGHING it looks like komaeda is rubbing his face up on matsuda and he’s Very Displeased
its beautiful…. truly a thing to bEhold
It was late; far too late for any reasonable person to be awake, let alone out and about and working. And yet, that’s exactly what Yasuke Matsuda was doing— it’s not as if he had much of a choice, though. He had a job to do.
Through the darkness of the night, Hope’s Peak Academy’s neurology lab shone bright. Machines of all shapes and sizes, adorned with multi-coloured lights that flickered on and off, provided the illumination that reflected off of freshly-polished floors and shone out the windows. Their constant buzzing and humming and whirring were the only sounds to be heard for hours at a time.
And then, finally, a voice broke through the monotony of the machines’ noise.
”My name is Yasuke Matsuda. We’ve met before. Many times, actually.” The pencil that was once tucked behind his ear was twirled between his fingers. “I’ll be looking after you for the time being. Do you know where you are?”
No, no, the look on the boy’s face gave that much away; he clearly had no idea. Maybe it was better to start with something else. Shifting his attention once to the clipboard in his lap, and then back up to Hinata, he began again: “Do you know who you are or why you’re here?”
The boy’s face was blank, a clear slate and he wasn’t even sure of his surroundings, well at least really what was going on- he had woken up, no body was around- so he decided to find out himself- maybe he shouldn’t have been walking around without anyone knowing but it was far too late for that now.
Though he said his name was Yasuke Matsuda…? Huh, never heard the name before- but that was to be expected. Though he was a bit boggled at the fact that they had met many times before..? He didn’t think that was really possible since he didn’t ever remember meeting the guy… strange.
Though the question came up of who he was- at first he though that of course he knew who he was- though he realized that he didn’t know who he was- not even remembering his own name- what a shame. The second question he couldn’t answer either, there was nothing around where he was that looked familiar. It felt so strange to lack memories… but he might have not even had them in the first place.
"…No, I don’t know who I am or the reason for being here…”
Who was this? …He don’t know.
Where was he? …Also unknown…
It was strange that he wouldn’t even know where he was… but then again he really wasn’t sure what exactly was going on… how strange his memories seemed to be absent- or maybe there wasn’t any memories to begin with, and that was just a concept he knew already… strange but it didn’t make any sense to him.
"…Who are you?”
— Was nothing to work on this demon? Komaeda didn’t truly want to keep hurting him. Especially if the demon would just call out in Hinata’s voice… Deals and bargaining might be his only ticket out.
Komaeda straightened up, pulling Hinata up with him. Komaeda grabbed onto Hinata’s shoulders, tyring to keep eye contact with this demon. “…Listen to me,” Komaeda said, giving his shoulders a light squeeze. “Hajime-kun is all I have left. And even then I fear that something will rip him away from me. I’m not letting that instance happen right now. I realize this all probably doesn’t mean anything to you. But it does this mean this.”
His grip on his shoulders slackened til Komaeda’s arms were at his sides. “Any deal you want. Any bargain. I don’t care what it is. Name your price and I’ll do it. So long as you return Hajime-kun back…”
True, Komaeda was probably acting incredibly stupid right now. Making these deals landed them both in this situation. Trying to make more likely wouldn’t solve the problem, but as far as Komaeda could tell, there was simpy no othe roption.
"Anything you want. I can pay the price."
The boy was serious, not like he didn’t think he was before but it was so immature and childish to keep up the physical torture… even if it didn’t really affect him much he didn’t like it either. Giving a small sigh he looked at the male, his red eyes staring ominously at the boy.
Honestly he wasn’t sure about this, he wasn’t really liking the moving vessels a lot either, though maybe there was something he could talk him into… though maybe there was something they could bargain.. maybe.

Tilting his head, he really didn’t see how this would get anywhere from going back to the other’s body, it would be a waste of time on his part. Of course if he could convince him it was a better deal in the long run maybe… who knew. He would have to be careful
— “Ah… Thats good. I was worried for a second I had done something wrong. But since you’re back..” Cue a painfully devilish little grin, sliding his lips over the shell of his boyfriends ear. “Shall we make up for the lost time?”
He gave a small sigh- he figured Komaeda would say something like that.. maybe he shouldn’t have left for so long- he didn’t want the other to worry… Though he brought up another topic- as it was whispered into his ear. His cheeks flared up a bit as he looked at his boyfriend “Ah.. sure, that sounds nice” He gave a small smile looking at the male.
